sharing native youth guardians of the waters program

Dear Friends, Colleagues and Family,
I am super excited to share with you a 6 minute video that we created with The Cultural Conservancy (TCC) and our first Native Youth Guardians of the Waters Program.
I had the pleasure to direct this project this summer along with my awesome co-facilitators Mateo Hinojosa and Valerie Ordoñez. In this collaborative video, Native young women explore cultural and ecological health and share a powerful message about water. It features many great Native artists and scholars. We recently presented at the Indigenous Forum at Bioneers and the response from the audience was overwhelmingly positive and moving.
It’s truly a beautiful, inspiring and important video – so check it out and please share it with as many people as you can:
Thank you to many of you for being involved with this educational experience, helping with outreach, planning, teaching and resources. May this transformative work continue.
With much love and gratitude,
Nicola, Melissa and the TCC team
